The Division of Administration and Financial Management’s Local Health Personnel (LHP) Branch currently has an opening for a Human Resource Administrator-DPH. Come join the LHP team as we support local health departments across Kentucky with human resources. Workday is the personnel system we use and experience in Workday is a bonus.
Responsibilities And Duties
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional experience in human resource administration OR Kentucky governmental employee benefits administration.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title perform duties in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.

- Reviews, evaluates and prepares recommendations and approvals for personnel actions.
- Reviews and qualifies or rejects applications.
- Provides technical assistance for the personnel and payroll system.
- Provides policy guidance.
- Interprets regulations and makes recommendations for regulation changes.
- Coordinates the board of health process for nominations and approvals.
- Create and provide trainings for health departments.
- Experience in Workday
- Interpret regulations
- Developing and facilitating training
- Public Health experience preferred
