- Able to perform all duties as outlined in the Imaging Services Receptionist/Clerk position description.
- Verifies the clerical staff is choosing the correct billing address. Verifies that authorization has been obtained before the billing office processes the claims.
- Follows up on claims still at U.B. status.
- Processes work compensation payments for Diagnostic Imaging.
- Works with the Hospital Insurance Verifier and staff to develop resources for insurance information.
- Works closely with physicians and staff in facilitating adding on exams when necessary.
Job Requirements
Required
- Completion of a medical terminology class or equivalent work experience, upon hire
- Previous clerical experience in a medical setting, including telephone and typing skills, or other medical billing experience
