Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills, with experience in residential painting, welding, and troubleshooting. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections to maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. Leadership and supervisory experience are a plus, as you may oversee maintenance team members and coordinate with other departments to meet operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on hotel equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify faults.
- Perform residential painting and welding tasks as needed to maintain property aesthetics and safety standards.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors when necessary, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist in facilities management projects including remodeling or upgrades to enhance guest experience.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies during all maintenance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests related to maintenance issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities or hotel maintenance with a strong background in mechanical knowledge, electrical systems, welding, residential painting, and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ohmmeters, CMMS software, and manufacturing or industrial maintenance practices.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective coordination with team members and guests.
- Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred for overseeing maintenance operations.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to facilities maintenance including OSHA regulations is essential.
