The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall operation, profitability, and guest satisfaction of the hotel. The GM will lead department heads, manage budgets, ensure high-quality service, and maintain compliance with brand standards and policies. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for hospitality, and a proven track record in hotel management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and sales.
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction through exceptional service and quality assurance.
- Recruit, train, and manage department managers and hotel staff.
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to maximize revenue and control costs.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, health and safety regulations, and brand standards.
- Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to drive occupancy and revenue.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
- Build and maintain relationships with guests, staff, vendors, and local community partners.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, revenue management, and guest service.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data, make sound decisions, and solve problems effectively.
- Proficient in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and P&L statements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
