What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Maintenance Technician position at Comfort Inn & Suites?
SUMMARY
This position supports the maintenance/repair needs of the hotel. Performs work involving multiple crafts, such as plumbing, painting and drywall, carpentry, electrical and water testing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Plumbing functions include:
- Solder/braze
- Unplug toilet and drains
- Change bath and toilet fixtures
- Fix faucets
Drywall and painting functions include:
- Small repairs in walls and ceilings due to water damage.
- Must blend repairs with existing wall or ceiling fixtures.
- Minor painting of rooms, doors, trim and ceilings.
Carpentry functions include:
- Repair and fabricate chairs, tables, walls, floor, cabinetry, shelves etc.
- Must understand demonstrate correct use of hand and power tools. * Electrical functions include:
- Change outlets, wall switches, light fixtures, appliances, AC/p-tacs and related items.
- Must be able to trouble shoot, read schematics, and diagnose electrical equipment.
- Will work with voltages from 24v to 240 volt 3 phase and the correct use of meters and testing meters.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks as part of preventive maintenance program.
- Repairs and maintains commercial laundry equipment.
- Participates on the Safety Committee.
- All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent; vocational school training preferred.
- Minimum two years experience in electrical, plumbing and carpentry crafts.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
