Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hotel Breakfast Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests during breakfast hours, ensuring a clean and welcoming dining area, and assisting with food preparation and presentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.
Duties
- Prepare and set up the breakfast area, including food stations and beverage stations.
- Ensure all food items are presented attractively and in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Assist guests with their breakfast selections, providing information about menu items and dietary options.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and cleaning surfaces.
- Monitor food supplies and replenish as necessary throughout the breakfast service.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Experience with POS systems is a plus; familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in hospitality roles such as host/host or catering is beneficial.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation or barista experience is desirable.
