Duties

• Perform thorough floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques to maintain spotless surfaces.
• Handle cleaning tasks across guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, and public areas with precision and efficiency.
• Manage chemical agent handling safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper storage procedures.
• Conduct manual handling of heavy items such as furniture or supplies, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury.
• Utilize vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting techniques to uphold sanitation standards throughout the property.
• Assist with hotel housekeeping management tasks by organizing supplies, restocking amenities, and supporting team members.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or inquiries with excellent customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality or hotel environment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping procedures, sanitation standards, and hotel emergency procedures is advantageous.
• Experience with cleaning equipment operation including vacuums, buffers, and other floor care tools is desirable.
• Knowledge of chemical handling practices and safety protocols related to cleaning agents is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Previous hotel experience or hospitality background will support success in this role.
