POSITION SUMMARY: Performs general maintenance and repair work on various systems for the Comanche Nation Headquarters, such as the electrical and plumbing systems; participates in the work of heating and cooling system maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Electrical, Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Services.
- Responsible for performing cleaning and sanitation functions where need within the facility.
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors/spills, dust moping, cleaning tables, emptying trash receptacles, cleaning/ stocking restrooms.
- Stocking, maintaining and transporting housekeeping supply carts daily.
- Using appropriate equipment and supplies where required.
- Assist in maintaining the inside of the building to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Providing excellent customer service to customers and guests.
- Dusting, and polishing various surfaces.
- Ensuring all offices/rooms are well maintained and inspected according to standards.
- Deep cleaning carpets, drapes, and upholstery.
- Protecting equipment and ensuring there are no inadequacies.
- Checking stocking levels of consumables and replacing them when necessary.
- Communicates damages, deficits, and disturbances to supervisor as needed.
- Handling reasonable complaints and requests with professionalism.
- Replaces light fixtures, motors, fans, switches, lights and related items.
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and building facility systems
- Adheres to safe work practices and procedures, and inspects buildings for safety hazards
- Assists in the repairs or replacement plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, pipe systems, and general devices found in plumbing systems
- Checks for leaks within the water systems and for proper operations of water heater, furnace and refrigeration
- Participate in that all necessary maintenance is performed.
- Considerable knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling systems
- Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
- Other duties as assigned
REPORTS TO: Will report to the Maintenance Director
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be physically capable of standing, bend, stoop, kneeling, crawling, reaching, twisting, grasping and walking for long periods of time. Must have the physical strength necessary to be able to lift/carry objects up to fifty (50) lbs. unassisted, seventy-five (75) lbs. assisted.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Most of the work will be completed outdoors in all weather conditions. Some duties will be completed in an office setting, when necessary.
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must possess a minimum of one (1) year work experience in the Maintenance field.
- Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and be insurable under the Comanche Nation’s motor vehicle policy.
- Must be willing to submit to and pass drug testing.
