Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or health hazards.
• Conduct custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure optimal hygiene standards.
• Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and applying appropriate floor care techniques to preserve their appearance and longevity.
• Operate cleaning equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for manual handling and heavy lifting to prevent injuries.
• Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs or reporting issues that require specialized attention.
• Support industrial cleaning projects or residential painting tasks as needed, demonstrating versatility in custodial responsibilities.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning procedures involving chemical agents and safety protocols is essential.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools is advantageous.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and facilities maintenance practices helps ensure consistent quality of work.
• Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy objects or equipment is required.
• Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff or visitors during routine cleaning activities.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
