Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual MIG welding operations on mild steel and aluminum components
- Interpret blueprints, read work instructions, and verify measurements
- Set up and operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and structural standards
- Grind, clean, and finish welds as required
- Verify proper alignment and fit of parts before welding
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure tools are in safe working condition
- Follow all CVG safety standards and manufacturing procedures
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality goals
- Assist with other fabrication or production tasks as needed
- Demonstrates consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality to support production efficiency, team performance, and operational goals
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must have consistent, recent welding experience with no significant gaps or must be currently enrolled in a welding program
- Demonstrated ability to accurately read a tape measure and apply measurements in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using grinders, clamps, and metal fabrication tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality products
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, and welding fumes
