Job Brief
As the Lead Maintenance Engineer, you will define and resolve plant maintenance problems to ensure continuity of operations. You will be responsible for reviewing newly developed modifications and improvements.
What You’ll Do
As the Lead Maintenance Engineer, you will define and resolve plant maintenance problems to ensure continuity of operations. You will be responsible for reviewing newly developed modifications and improvements to determine applicability and provides technical backup for capital and expansion efforts. Other duties include:
- Supports safety culture in maintenance and in design.
- Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the safe operation of the plant using established safety programs and tools
- Lead or contribute to RCFA investigations and repeat equipment issues investigations.
- Manage plant infrastructure Program.
- Manage the integrity and improvements to the commercial wharf and waterfront.
- Manage the plants hoists, cranes and lifting equipment program.
- Mentors junior Engineers and prepare and deliver training
- Larger MOC’s, FI or Capex projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve existing plant maintenance problems.
- Solves problems relating to improvement of maintenance and reliability of equipment.
- Coordinates efforts of contractors working on engineering projects and capital projects with maintenance and production personnel taking into consideration safety, environmental and regulatory aspects of
What We’re Looking For:
- B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience and certifications.
- Experience in chemical plant, Pulp and Paper or related industry engineering projects, construction work, mechanical design, process design, project supervision and economic analyses.
- In addition to the basic degree in engineering, any additional studies in mathematics, engineering, management, economics or business would be a definite asset although not necessarily a prerequisite.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and PSM requirements preferred.

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
