Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Process Engineer position based in St. Helen's, OR. In this role, the Process Engineer will monitor and drive the daily operations of the plant to meet key performance metrics. This role works closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability to routinely gather on-the-ground insights into plant performance. This role receives technical direction and mentoring from the Senior Process Engineer and contributes to the continuous improvement, process safety initiatives, and operating discipline of the plant
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of process engineering experience at an ammonia manufacturing plant - working knowledge of ammonia and urea processes
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related discipline required
- Strong grounding in HSE and PSM principles, risk assessments, and environmental compliance
- Proficiency with mass and energy balances, heat exchange performance and trend interpretation
- Working understanding of DCS and PLC system interfaces
- Commitment to data-driven decision-making, problem-solving, teamwork, and stakeholder holder management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to explain complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders
