POSITION SUMMARY:
Processes Patient specimens in to the Laboratory for testing. Orders tests on
both inpatient and outpatient samples to be performed on site or for transport
to the reference Laboratory. Answers the telephone to give patient results
verbally, by faxing or delivering hard copy reports.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Qualifications:
Prior data entry skills required.
Excellent phone skills required.
Strong organizational skills( for completion of office and specimen processing
duties required.)
Knowledge of hospital/medical field desirable.
Must be able to work independently.
Experience:
1 year minimum Clinical Laboratory experience in a processing area preferred.
Salary Range: $18.00 – $23.13
