Description

On-Campus employment opportunities at Columbia Basin College (CBC) are available. Students who believe the experience can be a valuable part of their education are encouraged to apply, with some positions requiring student work study funding for eligibility. This announcement will be used to develop a pool of applicants for Technology Services (TS) student worker positions for this quarter. Student workers will be responsible for performing a wide variety of TS support functions.


Pay Range: $16.66 - $16.66 per hour.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist staff in assigned department or office with the following:

  • Basic troubleshooting of computer-related problems;
  • Answer and direct TS related phone calls, voice mails and emails;
  • Provide customer service and support to students, staff, and faculty;
  • Set up computer systems;
  • Set up audio/video equipment; and
  • Other appropriate duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled at Columbia Basin College:
    • For Non-Work Study: enrolled in at least one (1) credit;
    • For Work Study: enrolled in at least six (6) degree-required credits, or enrolled in (5) degree-required credits for Summer.
  • Skills related to diagnosing and troubleshooting technology issues;
  • Experience installing and configuring computer hardware and software; and
  • Good communication, computer, and customer service skills.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
