Duties / Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate personal care.
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, eating, and mobility while promoting dignity comfort and independence.
- Ensure safety and supervision - monitor for wandering falls confusion and other safety risks. Maintain a calm structured environment and promptly report any changes in condition to the nurse.
- Support communication and emotional well being. Use patience, reassurance and simple clear communication to reduce anxiety, encourage engagement in meaningful activities. Build trust with the client and family.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Current NAC license in accordance with Washington state regulations.
- Understand dementia related behaviors, effective communication techniques, person centered care, and strategies for managing confusion, agitation and memory loss.
- Strong interpersonal and observations skills. Demonstrate patience compassion reliability and the ability to recognize and report changes in physical condition, cognition or behavior promptly.
- Current CPR / First Aid.
Salary : $18 - $22
