A Day in the Life
You arrive at your work cell and begin with safety pre-flight checks. With your area organized using 5S practices, you review the production schedule and prepare raw materials, measuring precise weights to ensure consistent results. You operate 3–5 presses within a press set, molding wheel components to specification. Throughout the shift, you conduct short-interval quality checks, visually inspect wheels for defects, and separate any nonconforming parts into the proper containers. When needed, you file raised mould lines and sort molded wheels by part number.
Accuracy matters: you record production and scrap quantities in the ERP system and make sure counts are correct. You meet standardized performance benchmarks and wrap up the day by completing end-of-shift safety and 5S routines. You follow company policies and take on additional tasks as assigned.
