Colquitt Regional Health System is currently hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk. The AP Clerk is responsible for processing invoices, purchase orders, and paying vendors in accordance with Departmental and Hospital policies. Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

- Matches vendor invoice to PO and receiving documents. Verifies proper authorization, GL expense coding, and validity of the invoice. Enters invoices into the system, timely. Verifies/assigns proper and correct payment dates. Audits for duplicate payments.
- Handles correspondence from assigned vendors.
- Runs AP checks runs, daily closes, and month ends.
- Orders checks when necessary.
- Updates SSN/EIN fields in the vendor dictionary.
- Prints, files and distributes required AP reports.
- Performs assigned GL account reconciliations.
- Reviews vendor statements. Researches past due invoices. Looks for potential invoice problems.
- Maintains the AP vendor dictionary. Updates addresses, terms, and other pertinent information.
- Assist when needed with AP check compilation and distribution.
- Files AP checks, timely. Makes new folders.
- Responds to management inquiries timely and professionally.
- Acquires and maintains an understanding of Payroll, AP, and GL systems to perform duties in an efficient manner.
- Adheres to departmental attendance policies.
- Determines job priorities.
- Demonstrates good judgement following written & verbal instructions.
- Willing to adjust schedule to meet departmental needs.
- Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner with fellow employees.
- Demonstrates willingness to learn new tasks and duties.
- Demonstrates an overall knowledge of departmental functions.
- Demonstrates professional attitude toward job through proper attire and personal hygiene.
