REPORTS TO: CMO
JOB SUMMARY: The OB/GYN Physician will provide health care for women related to reproductive health; provide health care before, during and after pregnancy and deliver babies; examine patients, order diagnostic tests and make diagnosis; order medication and treatment
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform a wide range of tests, including pap smears, pelvic, and breast exams
- Diagnose and prescribe treatments for disorders and diseases • Conduct routine check-ups on patients
- Monitor and treat expectant mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, including prenatal advising up to delivery and postnatal care, sometimes in collaboration with a midwife • Record medical histories
- Educate patients about disease prevention and detections, and reproductive health • Direct, advise and supervise medical staff including nurses, physician assistants, med techs etc. on proper procedures and protocol
- Continue personal education on medical practices and innovations
- Participate in call coverage as per office guidelines
- Participate in hospital and office committees as per office guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Doctor of Medicine
- 3-5 years of experience preferred
- Licensed to practice in Colorado
- Board certified
- Trustworthy and compassionate character
- Impeccable bedside manner
- Strong communication skills
- Maintains regulatory requirements, including all federal, state, local regulations and accrediting organization standards.
- Maintains and ensures patient confidentiality at all times.
- Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, departments and staff.
- Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification
