About The Role
As a Landscape Crew Leader, you'll guide a team of technicians, ensure high‑quality work, and keep accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment for each job. This role is key to delivering exceptional landscaping results while fostering a productive, safety‑focused crew.
What You'll Do Operational Leadership
- Ensure trucks are properly loaded with tools and equipment before departure
- Manage morning/evening truck and trailer loading/unloading
- Supervise technicians and delegate tasks for safety, quality, and efficiency
- Oversee and complete work tickets on schedule
- Inspect completed work to reduce re-work or return visits
- Enforce all safety standards and PPE requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and yard
- Submit accurate daily work orders to operations leadership
- Read/interpret blueprints to assign work appropriately
- Maintain a clean, safe job site and proper use of company equipment
- Promote continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices
- Provide feedback to operations leadership on crew performance
- Support employee training and development
- 2–3 years of landscape industry experience (required)
- 1 year of leadership experience (preferred)
- Minimum age 21
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to lead, mentor, and work effectively with a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong knowledge of all phases of landscaping projects
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- High attention to detail
- Outdoor work environment
- Extended hours during peak seasons
- Physically demanding tasks; exposure to weather extremes, noise, allergens, insects, dust, sharp objects, and moving mechanical parts
