About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee all warehouse operations at Colman Building Center in Colman, SD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper handling, storage, and distribution of building materials, tools, and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing building materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels to meet business demands. Regularly monitor stock levels and reorder materials as necessary from suppliers.
- Coordinate and manage the loading and unloading of trucks. Ensure that all shipments are correctly loaded for delivery, and track outgoing orders for timely completion.
- Ensure the warehouse and yard are clean, organized, and safe. Enforce safety procedures and ensure staff are trained on proper equipment use.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have 1-3 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management, including staff supervision. Strong organizational and leadership skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
A basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems are preferred but not required. Ability to operate manual and powered pallet jacks, forklifts, and other lumberyard and warehouse equipment is also required.
