What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialist II, Warranty Support position at Collier County Public Schools?
- Collect facility data for facility equipment, real property improvements and appurtenances that include but are not limited to make, model, year of installation, cost, size, orientation, color, texture, condition and other necessary feature data.
- Receive, review, and record warranty data from Project Management and contractors. Enter warranty data in Facility Asset Database. Track warranty expiration dates and, when feasible, obtain warranty extensions from manufacturers and installers.
- Maintain warranty data in Facility Asset Database. Ensure Warranty data is complete and accurate. Receive, scan and file original warranty documents.
- Receive warranty claims from District staff. Verify warranties are active and claim is within the scope of the warranty. Resolve warranty issues promptly.
- Submit warranty claims with the warranty source. Track the warranty source's response and progress. Take appropriate action to resolve warranty delays and improve response time from warranty source.
- Communicate updates and claims status with maintenance supervisors, project managers, and stakeholders.
- Maintain organized records of warranty claims, repairs, costs, and correspondence. Generate regular reports for project managers and senior leadership on warranty trends and performance.
- Upon receipt, ensure warranties comply with the project specifications and contract documents.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of related experience. Skilled using Microsoft Excel.
