Strategic Leadership with Purpose:
Develop and execute a comprehensive workforce development strategy aligned with CWI’s mission and regional economic priorities
Advise the Vice President of Strategy & Operations on labor market trends and employability outcomes
Lead Workforce Development operations, staff, and programs with a focus on innovation and responsiveness
Oversee budgeting, enrollment growth, and market expansion
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local workforce regulations
Building Employer Partnerships:
Cultivate strategic relationships with employers, industry groups, government agencies, and economic development organizations
Align academic and technical programs with industry needs to ensure graduate readiness
Represent CWI on workforce boards and regional/state initiatives
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate employer engagement
Driving Innovation in Workforce Programs:
Lead the design and expansion of non-credit training, apprenticeships, and custom employer solutions
Pursue funding opportunities through grants and partnerships
Foster a culture of agility and innovation in response to evolving workforce demands
Oversee Directors of Workforce Development Programs across multiple sectors
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Public Administration, Workforce Development, or related field
10 years of progressive leadership experience in workforce development or higher education
Proven success in building and sustaining industry partnerships
Deep understanding of CWI’s mission and commitment to accessibility and employability
Strong communication, collaboration, and change management skills
Ability to foster a student-centered, equity-focused environment
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS:
Most positions at CWI are in-person and based on campus. While some roles may allow up to two remote workdays per week, eligibility for remote work is determined on a case-by-case basis at the hiring manager's discretion. All candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
