College of the Ozarks is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and service-oriented professional
to serve as Assistant Director of Public Safety. This position serves as a key member of the Public
Safety leadership team and assists the Director of Public Safety with the administration,
management, training, and daily operations of the department. A primary responsibility will be
supporting the College's preparedness for critical incidents, including active shooter incidents, severe
weather, medical emergencies, threats to campus, and other situations requiring an organized
institutional response.
The Assistant Director will have a significant role in strengthening the department's training
program and ensuring officers and staff are prepared to respond effectively to the evolving safety
and security needs of the College. The position will coordinate and facilitate department training,
develop practical exercises, and assist in the planning and execution of campus-wide emergency
response exercises.
The successful candidate must have POST certification with current commissioned peace officer
status, significant professional experience in law enforcement, public safety, emergency
management, campus safety, or a related field.
