A reputable and growing commercial plumbing company serving the Fort Worth, Texas area is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Operations Superintendent to oversee onsite construction operations and ensure the successful execution of commercial plumbing projects. This position is responsible for supervising field activities, managing plumbing crews, coordinating with subcontractors, and maintaining project performance standards related to safety, quality, scheduling, and productivity.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive commercial plumbing experience, and the ability to effectively manage field operations while working collaboratively with project managers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise daily field operations for assigned commercial plumbing construction projects.
  • Lead field teams, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure project activities are completed according to schedule and quality requirements.
  • Ensure all plumbing installations comply with construction documents, project specifications, applicable codes, and industry best practices.
  • Inspect underground systems, rough-in installations, equipment placement, and piping layouts prior to inspections and key project phases.
  • Assist in workforce allocation, crew scheduling, and daily work planning to support project objectives.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment availability, and resource distribution to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Promote safe, organized, and productive jobsite conditions throughout all phases of construction.
  • Work closely with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades to facilitate project progress and resolve field-related issues.
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections and oversee the completion of corrective actions and punch list items.
  • Support project inspections, testing procedures, system commissioning, and final turnover activities.
  • Monitor labor productivity, crew performance, and material usage to maximize operational effectiveness.
  • Enforce company safety programs, OSHA regulations, and proper use of safety equipment.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, project reports, and field documentation.
  • Communicate project concerns, safety incidents, equipment issues, and operational challenges to management in a timely manner.
  • Ensure company equipment, vehicles, tools, and jobsite assets are properly maintained, secured, and accounted for.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems, installation techniques, and construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, construction drawings, and contract documents.
  • Proven experience leading field personnel and subcontractors on commercial construction projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and workforce management skills.
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes, regulatory requirements, and construction safety standards.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing project conditions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience coordinating labor resources, project schedules, materials, and equipment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and jobsite safety compliance requirements.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least five years of experience in commercial plumbing construction or field supervision.
  • Previous experience as a Plumbing Superintendent, Lead Foreman, or Construction Supervisor strongly preferred.
  • Technical training, plumbing certifications, trade school education, or OSHA certifications are advantageous.
