Job Summary:
The Payroll Analyst will support end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with applicable payroll regulations. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders and third-party payroll vendors to support payroll transactions, audits, reporting, employee inquiries, and year-end payroll activities. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll processing experience, analytical skills, and hands-on experience with payroll systems in large organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process and validate payroll transactions and payroll files to ensure accurate payroll execution
• Review payroll reconciliation reports, bank files, and supporting payroll documentation
• Support pre-payroll and post-payroll activities, audits, and payroll data validation
• Analyze payroll data within payroll systems and generate reports for business stakeholders
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies through root cause analysis
• Coordinate with third-party payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
• Support year-end payroll activities, tax reporting, and employee communications
• Manage payroll-related employee and manager inquiries through service case management
• Process overpayments, severance payments, leave of absence scenarios, and payroll adjustments
• Maintain organized audit documentation and support internal and external audit requests
• Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, Treasury, Tax, and Accounting teams on payroll-related matters
• Support payroll integrations, vendor payment processes, and time tracking activities
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience processing payroll in large, multi-state organizations
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems such as Workday Payroll, ADP, Ceridian, or SuccessFactors
• Experience working with third-party payroll vendors and payroll integrations
• Knowledge of payroll regulations, employee terminations, leave of absence processes, and overpayment recovery procedures
• Strong analytical, reporting, spreadsheet, and database skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with payroll audits, controls, and compliance activities
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting payroll operations across multiple company codes and jurisdictions
• Experience with service center case management processes
• Knowledge of payroll funding and vendor payment processes
• Experience supporting year-end payroll and tax reporting activities
• Familiarity with payroll data extraction and reporting tools
