Shift Lead – Cold Stone Creamery
Position Summary:
The Shift Lead is responsible for supporting daily store operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining product quality, and leading team members during assigned shifts. This role helps create a fun, positive, and energetic environment that reflects Cold Stone Creamery’s values and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Supervise: Oversee team members during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.
- Customer Service: Deliver outstanding guest experiences by greeting customers warmly, preparing products accurately, and maintaining a friendly atmosphere.
- Training and Support: Assist in training new crew members, reinforcing company standards for service, cleanliness, and product quality.
- Cash Handling: Open and close the register, count drawers, balance cash, and ensure accurate transactions.
- Operations: Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and report shortages or maintenance needs.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, following all food safety and health guidelines.
- Problem Solving: Handle guest concerns or operational issues promptly and professionally.
- Shift Reporting: Complete shift paperwork and communicate key information to management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or retail preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
- Work in a cold environment near ice cream freezers
Schedule & Availability:
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
