Shift Lead

Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and customer-focused Shift Leader to join our Cold Stone Creamery team! The Shift Leader plays an important role in creating a fun and welcoming environment for our guests while supporting the team and ensuring the store operates smoothly.

As a Shift Leader, you will help lead the team during your shift, provide excellent customer service, maintain high standards of cleanliness and food quality, and ensure that daily operations are completed efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work, and is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support team members during assigned shifts.
• Provide friendly, upbeat, and exceptional customer service.
• Create Cold Stone ice cream creations and ensure orders are prepared accurately and consistently.
• Train, coach, and motivate team members to follow company standards and procedures.
• Assign tasks and ensure all shift responsibilities are completed efficiently.
• Open and/or close the store according to company procedures.
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and service issues professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Monitor product quality, inventory, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Operate the cash register and accurately handle cash and other forms of payment.
• Assist with restocking and maintaining appropriate product levels.
• Help ensure the team meets company standards for service, cleanliness, and overall store performance.
• Communicate effectively with management and other team members.
• Lead by example and contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace.

Requirements

• Previous customer service, restaurant, retail, or food-service experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently when needed.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service.
• Comfortable giving direction, providing feedback, and supporting team members.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, reaching, and stocking.
• Must be able to follow food safety, cleanliness, and company policies and procedures.
