Assistant Coach / Baseball

Colby-Sawyer College seeks a Part-Time Assistant Coach for the Baseball Team. The Assistant Coach will assist with the activities of the Baseball team, participating in the growth and development of every student athlete, while promoting healthy lifestyles and interpersonal skills. They may periodically be asked to assume overall responsibility in the absence of the Head Coach. 

Responsibilities

• Perform key program implementation functions for assign team, in conjunction with the mission and culture of the college and in consultation with the Head Coach.
• Assist the head coach with organizing, preparing, and running practice sessions.
• Provide specialized, individualized instruction in specific areas such as hitting, catching, and outfield defense.
• Throwing batting practice.
• Help evaluate and develop players' skills during practices and competition.
• Assisting with recruitment of PSA’s and traveling to showcases around New England.
• Use video, baseball technology, and data analytics to help student-athletes improve (Rapsodo, Gameday Signals, and Armored Heat).
• Participate in various community service and athletic fundraising efforts.
• Maintain strict compliance with all college, conference and NCAA Division III rules and regulations. 
• The role requires extensive travel, irregular hours and a demonstrated commitment to the academic success and personal growth of student-athletes.
