Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner, providing excellent customer service that enhances their overall experience.
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders, payments, and refunds swiftly and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies, following food safety protocols.
- Monitor guest consumption responsibly, ensuring adherence to alcohol service laws and policies.
- Restock bar inventory regularly, tracking supplies using retail math skills and basic math for accurate stock levels.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, perform cashiering duties, and reconcile cash drawers at shift end.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during food service or catering events to ensure timely delivery of drinks and food.
- Assist in setting up for special events such as banquets or private parties, ensuring all beverage needs are met seamlessly.
- Uphold all food safety standards related to food handling and beverage preparation in compliance with health regulations.
- Promote a lively atmosphere by engaging with patrons at nightclubs or during live entertainment events.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within fine dining, nightclub, or banquet environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for efficient order processing.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously during busy hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Experience in catering or large event setups is a plus; banquet experience is highly valued.
- Knowledge of the food industry trends such as brewing techniques or beverage pairings is advantageous.
