Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Automation & Test Streamlining
- Develop and refine Python scripts to automate failure verification test processes.
- Improve test efficiency by creating tools for data parsing, reporting, and workflow standardization.
- Document code, test procedures, and results to ensure maintainability and repeatability.
- Perform basic failure verification testing on optical transceivers, including electrical and optical performance checks.
- Assist engineers in root‑cause identification by collecting test data, performing preliminary analysis, and summarizing findings.
- Operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, optical power meters, BERTs, and temperature chambers (training provided).
- Maintain accurate logs of failures, test results, and observations.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency with Python (e.g., scripting, data manipulation, hardware communication).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow test procedures and document results clearly.

- This role will be based on-site at Milmont facility in Fremont, CA
- Regular use of a computer is expected.
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
