Coding Instructor (Code Sensei)
Flexible Schedule | Part Time (After School - MWF) | Optional Weekends | $18.45 - $19.00 / hr
Who are we?
Code Ninjas is the nation’s fastest growing kids coding franchise. In our center, kids ages 5 and up learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way – by playing and building video games they love. Kids have a blast and can’t wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white to black belt. Our core promise is, kids have fun, parents see results. We believe in these words so much that it’s written on the walls in our center.

Code Senseis are the lifeblood of our center. Each day, you will be responsible for helping to get the center ready for the day, working with kids and finding ways to keep them engaged, addressing any roadblocks that come up for them along the way, and leading them through other STEM activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Learn the curriculum and be able to guide the students through their learning process
- Create a positive, safe and fun environment in which students can grow
- Work with students to assess and determine skill sets and levels
- Provide immediate feedback to parents after working with student who is on a tour
- Follow opening/closing duties daily
- Clean dojo throughout the day to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards
- Report to Center Director on a regular basis on the center activities, issues, and progress of students
Qualifications:
- Working history with children (mentoring, coaching, tutoring etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Collaborate and work well with others
- Knowledgeable about coding and technology
- Experience in 3D Design/Printing, Minecraft, Roblox, Scratch, or at least one programming language a plus
- Experience leading or running camps for kids a plus
