One of our Premier Alternative Investment Management Clients is seeking a VP for their growing Fund Accounting Team (addition to staff). The ideal candidate will join a highly successful growing Finance & Accounting team, reporting to Firm's CFO.
Ideal individual will sit in a dynamic role with either direct or indirect responsibilities for the financial accounting, control and reporting; investor reporting; tax structuring and compliance; operations; and third party service provider oversight for multiple funds.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual workpapers and financial statement packages
- Prepare cash forecasting and expense management
- Review the month-end NAV estimate and financial statement prep including reporting/month end close
- Identify and implement process improvements to minimize opportunities for error and to improve the timeliness of our deliverables
- Overseeing monthly accounting accruals, expense and balance sheet reconciliations
- Review shadow books & records, investor allocations, reporting from the fund administrator
- Participate in the development of budgets and forecasts
- Assist in preparation of quarterly deliverables for CFO and Corporate Finance
- Participate in the monthly close process (accruals, reclassifications, reconciliations)
- Responsible for preparing Financial Statement and Month End Close for firm
- Manage Fund Cash balances and relevant journal entries
- Manage the plans’ cash balances to track the need for quarterly capital calls, distributions & receivables and payables.
- Special assignments as required
Requirements:
- 7 years business experience in corporate finance/financial planning and analysis role.
- College Degree in Accounting or Finance required:
- Prior Hedge Fund/Master Feeder/Tech/Mult-Strat experience preferred
- CPA preferred (not required)
- Superior MS Excel and PowerPoint skills are required
- Advanced Microsoft Access strongly preferred
- Budget and management reporting experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting processes and impact of financial decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented; possesses good judgment; able to make productive and efficient decisions.
- Demonstrated team player; self-starter; independent thinker; excellent judgment.
Compensation numbers below represent a range not including applicable annually bonuses, range maybe slightly more (or less) depending on selected candidate
Salary : $200,000 - $300,000
