A client of ours is a Global Health Technology firm that has opened a new role on their team.
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Tax Director to lead our global tax function. As a key member of the finance leadership team, you will oversee all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and strategy as we scale our transformative technology to health plans and employer partners globally. You will partner closely with our CAO, CFO and legal teams. This professional will work with Sales, Operations, Accounting, and Finance along with internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include Tax Compliance, Reporting, Tax Diligence, Tax Risk and Strategy.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Global Tax Strategy: Build out and lead the development and execution of global tax strategy, ensuring alignment with high-growth business objectives and international expansion.
- Compliance & Reporting: Oversee all federal, state, and international tax filings (including Income Tax and GST).
- Financial Integration: Collaborate with the FP&A team to provide actionable tax insights for financial models, including R&D tax credits related to our platforms.
- Audit Management: Coordinate with external auditors and consultants to facilitate smooth annual audits and manage tax-related assessments.
- Cross-functional Advisory: Partner with Legal and Operations to assess the tax implications of complex arrangements, such as value-based care agreements and healthcare provider collaborations.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate tax risks as we scale into new regulated healthcare markets.
Requirements:
- 8 years of progressive tax experience, ideally with a mix of "Big 4" public accounting and high-growth technology or healthcare sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or Master’s in Taxation strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP (ASC 740), international tax regulations, and nexus issues for health services.
- A "doer" who thrives in ambiguity, communicates with candor, and is passionate about our mission to improve health.
