Coda Saerch is partnering with a global alternative asset manager with $200 billion AUM with offices located in NYC. The team is seeking to hire a Senior Fund Accountant who will play a key role in the financial reporting, fund operations, and accounting oversight of complex credit vehicles, working closely with investment professionals, operations, and external service providers.
This is a high-visibility role within a premier platform investing across direct lending, opportunistic credit, and structured solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for private credit funds, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of NAV reporting
- Review and analyze fund financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and partner capital allocations
- Manage relationships with third-party fund administrators, including review of deliverables and resolution of discrepancies
- Perform detailed reviews of investment activity, including loan originations, repayments, PIK interest, and fee income
- Ensure proper accounting treatment for complex credit instruments, including CLOs, structured products, and bespoke lending arrangements
- Support the preparation of investor reporting, including capital account statements and performance metrics
- Assist with quarterly valuations in collaboration with deal teams and valuation committees
- Coordinate and support the annual audit process, including preparation of supporting schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- 3 years of experience in fund accounting or Big 4, preferably within private credit, private equity, or alternative asset management
- Strong understanding of investment accounting concepts, including accruals, fair value measurements, and waterfall calculations
- Experience working with fund administrators and overseeing outsourced accounting functions
- Familiarity with complex credit products (e.g., direct lending, distressed debt, structured credit) preferred
