Job Summary:
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our growing team at our skincare contract manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and ensuring the proper operation of all production machinery used throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting cosmetic and skincare production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all manufacturing and packaging equipment used in skincare and cosmetic production.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues using testing devices, hand tools, and other maintenance equipment.
• Ensure all facility machinery and infrastructure remain safe, functional, and operating efficiently at all times.
• Repair and maintain filling machines, mixers, pumps, conveyors, labeling equipment, packaging lines, and other production machinery.
• Clean, lubricate, adjust, and replace machine components to maintain optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to support continuous production operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and documentation for all services performed.
• Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts and request replenishment as needed.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects.
• Follow all company safety procedures, GMP standards, and manufacturing protocols
Qualifications:
• Two or more years of experience as an industrial mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferably within cosmetics, skincare, pharmaceutical, or food production industries.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with manufacturing and packaging machinery.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with production and maintenance teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks and work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and documentation preferred
