About the Role
Our client, a tech-focused biopharmaceutical company, backed by a $300B global leader in AI and enterprise technology, is looking to add an Indirect Procurement Buyer to their team in Boston, MA. This is a high-impact role within a growing Procurement function where you’ll take ownership of day-to-day buying and sourcing across a wide range of categories, including clinical and indirect spend. You’ll partner closely with stakeholders across the business, manage vendor relationships, and help build scalable procurement processes from the ground up. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, this role offers strong visibility and a clear path into broader strategic sourcing and category ownership over time.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end purchasing process, including purchase orders, vendor coordination, and sourcing execution
- Manage vendor relationships, including selection, onboarding, and ongoing performance
- Support sourcing initiatives across multiple categories, including clinical and indirect spend
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective purchasing
- Help build and improve procurement workflows, including intake, vendor management, and purchasing processes
- Support RFPs and develop the ability to independently run structured sourcing events over time
- Act as a key user of Zip, helping manage and optimize procurement workflows
- Track procurement activity, including cycle times, savings, and process performance
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, operations, or a related function
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams
- Proven ability to manage processes end-to-end with a high level of ownership
- Experience with purchasing operations and vendor management
- Exposure to RFPs or structured sourcing processes is a plus
- Experience with Zip or similar procurement tools is a plus
- Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
