We are partnering with a growing investment organization looking to add an Analytics Engineer to a small, highly visible data team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with 3–5 years of experience who sits at the intersection of data engineering and analytics. You’ll work across the full data lifecycle, from ingesting data into Databricks through transformation and modeling, ultimately delivering trusted data to business users through Power BI and other reporting platforms.
The environment includes a significant amount of financial and operational data, including accounting, valuations, deals, cash flow, and application data used across different areas of the business.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines within Databricks
- Develop scalable data models and semantic layers for analytics and reporting
- Work extensively with SQL, ETL/ELT, and data modeling
- Transform data using tools such as PySpark, Delta Lake, and Medallion architecture
- Prepare trusted datasets for downstream platforms including Power BI
- Validate data quality, reconciliation, tagging, cataloging, and consistency
- Work with data from SQL databases, APIs, SaaS applications, and data lake environments
- Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs
- Help improve development and analytics workflows through modern AI-enabled tools and practices
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI development, or a similar data-focused role
- Strong SQL skills
- Hands-on experience with Databricks
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
- Strong understanding of data modeling, including dimensional models and/or semantic layers
- Experience working with Power BI or similar analytics platforms
- Exposure to PySpark, Delta Lake, and Medallion architecture is highly desirable
- Ability to work across both the engineering and analytics sides of a data environment
- Comfortable working directly with non-technical business stakeholders
Financial services experience is a plus, particularly experience working with investment, fund, accounting, treasury, or other financial datasets, but it is not required.
This role is best suited for someone who wants more than a traditional BI position. You'll have the opportunity to work across data ingestion, engineering, modeling, governance, and analytics while joining a team where you can take ownership early and continue growing technically.
Work Model: Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite in downtown Fort Worth
