What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Accountant position at Cocanougher Asset Management?
Cocanougher Asset Management, LLC is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accountant to support financial operations across a diversified portfolio of hospitality, energy, and property management investments.
This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 3 to 5 years of progressive experience who thrives in a multi-entity environment and is comfortable working in tax-based accounting structures. While candidates with traditional audit or corporate accounting backgrounds will be considered, preference will be given to individuals with exposure to tax preparation or tax return review.
Our financial reporting is primarily prepared on a tax and cash basis rather than full GAAP accrual accounting. Familiarity with GAAP is valuable; however, this role will focus predominantly on tax-based books and reporting.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who does not simply identify issues but actively works toward practical solutions. This individual should be comfortable operating independently, researching complex topics, and taking ownership of processes while continuously seeking efficiencies and improvements.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in North Richland Hills, TX.
