Job Title: Resort/Kennel Technician
Reports To: Resort Manager
Job Purpose: The Resort/Kennel Technician’s main responsibility is the order and cleanliness of the resort area and the comfort and care of the patients housed there.
Job Description:
Resort
- Properly clean resort area using proper methods.
- Use commercial washers and dryers for resort laundry.
- Keep patients clean and dry by checking and cleaning units as needed.
- Bathe patients when orders indicate.
- Feed and water patients according to doctors’ orders.
- Wash dishes and store properly.
- Wash and disinfect litter pans, grates, and equipment.
- Perform other duties from maintenance list.
- Keep personal belongings (for example, toys, blankets, medicine, leashes, etc.) with borders.
- Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of storage areas.
- Notify technician or DVM on duty of ill or injured boarders.
- Inspect each boarder for external parasites
- Communicate with clients regarding boarding pets.
Hospitalization and Treatment
- Read patient treatment sheet and feed patients according to doctors’ orders.
- Assist hospital when needed
Grounds
- Remove fecal matter daily.
- Empty trash in designated area.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional appearance (for example, neat and clean uniform or other appropriate attire).
- Maintain a professional, courteous attitude.
- Attend and participate in all required staff meetings.
- Perform other related duties as directed by the Resort Director, Hospital Administrator.
- Clean other assigned areas.
Notify Resort/Director of problems/concerns.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.25 - $13.50 per hour
