Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform electrical work including troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of electrical equipment using schematics and testing tools such as ohmmeters.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices to carry out repairs and installations.
- Maintain building interior spaces through painting, carpentry, and general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold aesthetic standards.
- Repair and service plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and drainage to prevent leaks and ensure proper function.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or assist with small teams during complex repairs or projects while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles within manufacturing or residential environments.
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and perform electrical equipment repair.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in plumbing, HVAC system repair, welding, carpentry, and painting.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools including hand tools, power tools, schematics, and testing instruments like ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams such as schematics for electrical or mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for guiding junior staff or managing small projects.
- Valid certifications in electrical work or HVAC repair are advantageous but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if needed.
