Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitization
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to uphold hygiene standards across all areas
• Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing
• Clean floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor care equipment
• Use cleaning detergents and supplies safely and effectively to ensure surfaces are spotless and sanitized
• Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or equipment with proper technique
• Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide exceptional customer service
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas if applicable, including patios or entryways
• Operate janitorial or custodial equipment safely to enhance cleaning efficiency
• Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within scheduled shifts while maintaining quality standards

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments, including hotel or janitorial roles
• Strong knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning, and sanitation practices
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other tools
• Ability to handle cleaning detergents safely while adhering to health and safety regulations
• Excellent manual handling skills with experience in heavy lifting and outdoor work when necessary
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout your shift
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures for various surfaces and materials to ensure proper care and maintenance
• Experience with residential housekeeping management or hotel housekeeping operations is highly desirable
• Ability to follow detailed instructions for cleaning protocols and sanitation procedures
