Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Conformal Coating Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for applying protective conformal coatings to electronic components and assemblies, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and durability requirements. Your expertise will help safeguard products from environmental damage, improve longevity, and enhance overall product performance. Duties

• Operate coating equipment, including spray guns and airless paint sprayers, to apply conformal coatings accurately on electronic assemblies.
• Prepare surfaces through construction painting surface preparation techniques to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
• Interpret production documents and technical specifications to follow precise coating procedures.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment for material handling, fabrication, and assembly tasks related to coating processes.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE), respirators, and respiratory protection devices during coating operations.
• Conduct visual color comparisons and quality inspections to verify coating consistency and defect-free finishes.
• Handle materials safely using forklifts and cranes when necessary for moving heavy or bulky components.
• Perform routine maintenance on coating equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime.
• Document production activities accurately, including process steps, quality checks, and any deviations from standard procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience with industrial painting, powder coating, or auto painting processes in a manufacturing setting.
• Mechanical knowledge related to spray guns, coating materials, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to interpret manufacturing instructions and technical drawings with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with safety protocols including PPE use, respirator fitting, and respiratory protection standards.
• Basic math skills for measuring coatings and calculating coverage areas accurately.
• Experience with construction painting surface preparation and coating application methods such as conventional spraying or airless paint spraying.
• Knowledge of materials handling procedures using forklifts or cranes safely within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to quality standards in production with the ability to identify defects or inconsistencies early in the process.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects safely, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
