About the Role
Coalition Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee roaster based in Northern New Jersey, with a distribution office in New York City. We are expanding our specialty coffee and white label programs for cafés, restaurants, and hospitality businesses across the region.
We are seeking a field based, relationship focused Specialty Coffee Sales Representative to grow wholesale partnerships across North Jersey and NYC. This is an in person role for someone who enjoys being on the road, meeting operators face to face, conducting tastings, and building long term relationships around premium coffee.
This role is ideal for a motivated salesperson who values credibility, follow through, and trust based selling.
Responsibilities
- Identify and reach out to specialty coffee shops, cafés, restaurants, hotels, and hospitality businesses
- Schedule and conduct in person meetings and coffee tastings with prospective and existing clients
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and follow up
- Manage a sales pipeline and track outreach, tastings, and account progress
- Report weekly sales activity, pipeline updates, and market feedback to management
- Collaborate with internal teams on product launches, promotions, and account needs
- Represent Coalition Coffee Roasters professionally in the field
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 or more years of sales, field marketing, or client facing experience required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
- Comfortable with regular travel across North Jersey and NYC
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Self motivated and able to work independently in a field based role
- Comfortable making cold visits, conducting follow ups, and developing new accounts
- Personal cell phone for client communication
Strongly Preferred Experience
- Experience working with specialty coffee roasters, independent cafés, restaurants, or craft food and beverage brands
- Familiarity with wholesale programs, café partnerships, tastings, or demos
- Understanding of café, restaurant, or hospitality operations
- Comfort selling through product education, quality, service, and relationship building
