About the Role
Coalition Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee roaster based in Northern New Jersey, serving cafés, restaurants, hospitality groups, and wholesale partners across the region.
We are seeking a dependable Coffee Equipment Service Technician to support our customers and internal operations. This is an in person, field based role for someone who is mechanically inclined, reliable, and comfortable servicing coffee equipment in cafés, restaurants, and hospitality environments.
The ideal candidate has experience repairing, maintaining, or troubleshooting commercial coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, brewers, batch brewers, water filtration systems, or similar equipment.
Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial coffee equipment
- Visit customer locations for repairs, maintenance, inspections, and equipment support
- Diagnose equipment issues and communicate findings clearly
- Perform preventive maintenance on espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and related equipment
- Help install or support equipment setup when needed
- Maintain accurate service notes, work orders, and follow up records
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal team members
- Keep tools, parts, and service materials organized
- Escalate complex technical issues when needed
- Represent Coalition Coffee Roasters professionally while working on site
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience as a service technician, maintenance technician, equipment technician, or similar technical role preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort troubleshooting equipment
- Valid driver’s license required
- Reliable transportation required
- Comfortable traveling to customer locations across North Jersey and NYC as needed
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to work independently and manage service tasks responsibly
- Comfortable lifting, carrying tools, and working in café or restaurant environments
Strongly Preferred Experience
- Experience servicing commercial espresso machines, grinders, brewers, or coffee equipment
- Familiarity with café operations and specialty coffee equipment
- Basic electrical, plumbing, or mechanical troubleshooting experience
- Experience with preventive maintenance, equipment installation, and customer service calls
- Ability to explain equipment issues clearly to customers and management

Job Details
