About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced a Senior Contracts to support the successful execution of large-scale capital projects within the power generation industry. This individual will play a critical role in developing and administering construction contracts, coordinating competitive bid processes, supporting contractor selection, and providing contract administration throughout the lifecycle of complex industrial projects.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting heavy industrial or power generation construction projects and possesses a strong understanding of construction contracting strategies, procurement processes, and commercial risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support contract strategy development during project planning and execution.
- Assist in identifying, pre-qualifying, and evaluating contractors for upcoming construction projects.
- Develop and coordinate construction bid packages, including:
- Scope of Work documents
- Proposal Forms
- Pricing Sheets
- Special Conditions
- Supporting contract documentation
- Coordinate the assembly, review, and release of bid packages.
- Support and facilitate contractor pre-bid meetings, including agenda development, presentations, meeting documentation, and follow-up communications.
- Manage bidder questions throughout the solicitation process in coordination with Supply Chain and project teams.
- Prepare commercial bid evaluations and support contractor selection and award recommendations.
- Coordinate contract award documentation and approval workflows.
- Lead contractor call-back meetings and maintain meeting records and action items.
- Oversee the review and execution of final contract documents.
- Support contract administration during project execution, including:
- Change order management
- Claims support
- Contract interpretation
- Commercial issue resolution
- Participate in post-award and contractor feedback meetings.
- Collaborate closely with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Supply Chain, Legal, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, Business, Law, or a related field preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in construction contract management, subcontract administration, or commercial project support.
- Experience supporting large-scale capital construction projects.
- Heavy industrial or power generation project experience strongly preferred.
- Experience developing construction bid packages and supporting contractor procurement activities.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial terms.
- Experience supporting change order management and contract claims.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
