Commissioning Manager (Owner's Representative) - Hyperscale Data Center Campus - Atlanta, Georgia

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking experienced Owner's Representative Commissioning Managers to support the delivery of a large-scale hyperscale data centre programme.

Working as an integral part of the owner's project team, you will be responsible for leading the commissioning effort from construction through to operational handover. Acting as the primary interface between construction teams, contractors, third-party Commissioning Agents and the client, you will ensure critical systems are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.

This position offers the opportunity to work on technically complex, mission-critical facilities where commissioning is fundamental to the successful delivery of the programme. You will be trusted to manage multiple stakeholders, coordinate commissioning activities across numerous systems and proactively resolve technical and programme challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Owner's Representation

• Represent the client's interests throughout all phases of commissioning.
• Act as the primary commissioning contact for assigned projects.
• Ensure commissioning activities align with programme objectives, quality expectations and project milestones.
• Provide technical leadership throughout construction, commissioning and handover

Commissioning Management

• Lead and coordinate commissioning activities from planning through to project completion.
• Manage the performance and deliverables of third-party Commissioning Agents (CxA).
• Review commissioning strategies, procedures, test scripts and commissioning documentation.
• Monitor commissioning readiness and ensure systems are prepared for functional testing.
• Support the planning and execution of Functional Performance Testing (FPT) and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).

Construction & Project Coordination

• Work closely with Construction Managers, Project Managers, Design Consultants, Contractors and Operations teams.
• Ensure commissioning activities are integrated into the overall construction programme.
• Identify risks that may impact commissioning milestones and develop mitigation strategies.
• Drive resolution of commissioning issues while maintaining programme objectives.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical oversight across mechanical, electrical and controls systems.
• Review installation quality and support quality processes leading into commissioning.
• Monitor commissioning progress and communicate risks, constraints and opportunities to project leadership.
• Ensure accurate documentation and successful project turnover.

• Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
• Delivering complex MEP systems through construction, commissioning and turnover.
• Working within live programme environments where multiple projects are being delivered simultaneously.
• Managing competing priorities while maintaining programme milestones.
