AI Business Analyst

CoAd is seeking a Business Analyst to join our growing AI team. This is an opportunity for someone who works AI-first: someone who can sit with a department, capture how work actually gets done, and turn that into process documentation and training material that the rest of the organization can act on. This role reports to the Head of AI and supports both the data science team and executive-level communication.

The Business Analyst (AI-Native) is responsible for driving process improvement, requirements management, data analysis, AI transformation initiatives, and business solution delivery across operational and customer-facing processes.

Essential Job Functions

Business Requirements Definition

• Gather business requirements and write functional specifications.
• Write user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria.
• Interview departments to capture workflows and automation opportunities.

Data Analysis

• Conduct root cause analysis and analyze operational data.
• Provide data-driven recommendations.

Process Improvement

• Lead process improvement initiatives and change management efforts.
• Develop As-Is and To-Be process maps.

AI Enablement & Transformation

• Use AI tools to accelerate documentation, analysis, and solution design.
• Develop AI training and adoption materials.
• Partner with Data Science teams on AI initiatives.

Applications Development Support

• Support UAT, releases, defects, and implementations.

Documentation Governance

• Own SharePoint repositories and documentation standards.

Required Skills And Experience

• 3 years as a business analyst, process analyst, or equivalent, with a portfolio of process documentation and workflow maps.
• Demonstrated ability to interview SMEs and translate their input into clear as-is and to-be process flows.
• Experience gathering requirements and supporting Agile delivery.
• Process improvement and stakeholder management expertise.
• Strong SharePoint, documentation, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to interview SMEs and translate their input into clear as-is and to-be process flows.
• Working fluency with AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, or equivalent) used as a daily driver for drafting, summarizing, and diagramming.
• Strong documentation and information-architecture skills, including hands-on SharePoint repository management.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills, including the ability to build both leadership and board-level decks.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in PEO, HCM, payroll, benefits, insurance, or another regulated multi-tenant environment.
• Familiarity with process-mapping notation and tooling (e.g., BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart, Mermaid).
• Experience documenting complex IT or systems processes.
• Experience building training or enablement material for internal adoption of new tools.
