Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction and academic support to elementary students in a Resource Room setting.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support inclusive practices and student progress.
- Use evidence-based instructional strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress monitoring data.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive learning environment that reflects district values of equity, fairness, and inclusion.
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Teaching License with appropriate Special Education endorsement required.
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish.
