We are looking to fill our Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper role to maintain accurate and organized records for our business. Accounting is critical to the success of CNDUIT and its clients. The Bookkeeper will work closely with management to track the businesses financials and operations to provide weekly record reports. The Bookkeeper is integral in facilitating smooth and complaint processes for our team. There are many opportunities for continued career growth once the foundation is established for this job.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates and executes the financial month-end close in QuickBooks including reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts and bank accounts
- Prepares and reviews journal entries as well as processing intercompany transactions
- Ensure company compliance and filings with all regulatory tax agencies as needed
- Oversee and perform weekly audits of bookkeeping records to ensure accurate and up-to date financial statements
- Working with the operations team with on-site duties such as cash and check deposits, filing records, petty cash management, and any other ad-hoc operational duties as needed
- Prepare weekly company executive scorecard, flash reporting, and cash forecasting
- Update budget projections and financial status reports as requested
- Assist with any payroll related duties as needed and ensuring proper timesheet completion from operations teams and payroll reporting
- Making purchases and coordinating vendor payments and customer receivables with Controller and Senior Accountant
- Perform other related duties and ad hoc projects as assigned
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or another related field
- 2-3 years of previous relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining order and accuracy with records
- Strong excel skills
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting
- Experience using QuickBooks
- Analytical mindset and interest in understanding the complexities of procedures and regulation
- Outstanding communication skills and planning abilities
- Strong team attitude
- Desire and ability to take ownership over your work
- Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
