CMK Resources is seeking a Senior Storage Platform Resident Engineer to support a highly visible enterprise infrastructure environment centered around FlashBlade and FlashArray technologies.
This Resident role will focus primarily on FlashBlade environments supporting object and file storage, DevOps platforms, enterprise logging services, backup/recovery initiatives, AI/GPU workloads, and emerging enterprise data lake initiatives. The engineer will also support FlashArray block storage infrastructure servicing VMware, database, and OpenShift workloads.
The ideal candidate is a highly operational, customer-facing engineer with strong troubleshooting expertise, deep knowledge of modern enterprise storage platforms, and the ability to help drive optimization, observability, and best practices across a large-scale cloud-driven infrastructure ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the dedicated Resident Engineer supporting enterprise FlashBlade and FlashArray environments
- Support and optimize large-scale object, file, and block storage workloads
- Troubleshoot complex storage, infrastructure, and performance-related issues
- Support S3 architecture, APIs, and object storage optimization initiatives
- Assist with enterprise observability, monitoring, health checks, and operational best practices
- Support multi-tenant infrastructure environments, RBAC strategies, and access policies
- Help guide the customer toward improved resiliency, operational maturity, and enterprise storage best practices
- Assist with FlashArray initiatives around Active Cluster, snapshots, SafeMode, and production readiness
- Support VMware, database, and containerized platform workloads
- Support DevOps, logging, AI/GPU, backup/recovery, and enterprise data lake initiatives
- Partner closely with customer operations teams while serving as a senior escalation and optimization resource
- Assist with Pure Fusion and multi-tenant infrastructure initiatives
- Contribute to automation and modernization efforts where applicable
- Travel to customer sites in Canada as needed
Required Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with FlashBlade file and object storage environments
- Strong operational experience with FlashArray block storage environments
- Experience supporting enterprise production infrastructure environments
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
- Experience with S3 architecture, object storage concepts, and API-level troubleshooting
- Understanding of multi-tenant infrastructure environments
- Experience supporting VMware and database workloads
- Experience driving operational best practices and enterprise optimization initiatives
- Strong customer-facing communication and advisory skills
- RBAC and access policy expertise
- Observability and monitoring platform experience
- Strong understanding of Ethernet-based infrastructure environments
- Valid passport with ability to travel to Canada if needed
